Trialist Watch - Who's who



Josh Lelan, Tom Brewitt and Shaun Okojie all featured for Chesterfield reserves at the Proact against Rotherham reserves.



Josh Lelan is a 21 year old, 6 foot 1, Kenyan international defender who can play centre-back and right back. Lelan originates from Church Broughton, a small village located 13 miles west of Derby.

Lelan started his career with Derby County and in the 2013/14 season gained loan moves to Gateshead and then Swindon Town. After failing to secure a deal at Derby, Lelan moved to League Two Northampton Town where he played 11 times over the 2015/16 season.

Lelan made his international debut for Kenya on the 30th of August 2016 in a match against Uganda where he came on as a sub.

Following his release by Northampton, Lelan has had trials at Plymouth, Gillingham and Cheltenham among others.









Tom Brewitt is a 19 year old centre-back who has been at Liverpool’s Academy since the age of 11 and has progressed through their ranks, captaining the U18s along the way. Brewitt has represented England at youth level. In June, Brewitt signed a new long-term contract at Liverpool.


Shaun Okojie is a 20 year old striker who has been at Corinthian Casuals who play in the Isthmian League Division One South. Previous to this Okojie was at Hitchin Town where he impressed by hitting a phenomenal 24 goals in nine games for their under-19s.
