Saunders ''There's not a lot wrong with us''

Dean Saunders remains upbeat despite Chesterfield only picking up one point from their last five league games, which has seen the Spireites drop down to 17th in the table.

Chesterfield's poor run of results includes three heart-breaking added-time defeats at home against Wigan, Colchester and Burton. The Spireites away form in September has also been poor with defeats against Coventry and Blackpool. Blackpool's first home win at home since January.

Saunders is determined to stay positive regardless of the Spireites recent results and current concern from supporters. Saunders is still firm in the belief that Chesterfield will improve on their current form and could even win the next five fixtures.

''I knew we were going to have blips, so we're having a blip right now but there's no reason we can't go win five on the trot or five games unbeaten''

The Welshman believes that the Spireites aren't far off their best. ''There's not a lot wrong with us''

The Spireites travel to bottom of the league club Crewe, a team Saunders knows very well due to his son Callum playing for the Railwaymen. The pressure is mounting on Saunders to prove mounting critics wrong and provide a big result for the Spireites.
