Youth Pair Sign Pro Contracts!

Chesterfield FC have offered professional contracts to youngsters Laurence Maguire and Jake Beesley. 

Laurence Maguire, born 8th of February 1997, is the younger brother of Hull City and former Sheffield United defender Harry Maguire and high flying Ilkeston FC captain Joe Maguire who are currently second behind FC United of Manchester in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League. 

Maguire has captained this years Chesterfield U18 squad which have had both league and cup success and he hope that he can achieve similar success in the first team squad. He is known for his good leadership qualities, defensive headers and goalscoring record from set pieces often coming from headers.

Jake Beesley, born 2nd of December 1997, who studied at St Marys RC High School in Chesterfield has been at Chesterfield FC since he was 14 years old.

Beesley is a player known by Spireites fans and leads the line wonderfully, using his height and intelligence to win the majority his headers and used his pace and acceleration to get in behind the defenders, this season he has played as a lone striker and with a striking partner.
