Armand Gnanduillet set to link up with Teddy Sheringham at Stevenage

Armand Gnanduillet set to join Teddy Sheringham at Stevenage on loan.

The 6 foot 6 striker has not recaptured the same form that saw him score a beautiful overhead kick against Burnley in pre-season and is set to join the Boro to regain match sharpness.

The Ivorian has only started 26 games during his two and a half year spell at the Spireites, but has come off the bench 56 times, scoring 10 goals.

This will be Gnanduillet's third loan spell during his time at the Spireites, he has had spells at Oxford and a impressive spell at Tranmere where he scored 2 goals in 4 games, before being recalled.

His eccentric nature has made him a cult figure at Chesterfield and he has won over many fans, he has also made many critics with inconsistent performances.

He will be linking up with Champions League winner Teddy Sheringham who's footballing career spanned over 24 years. The 49 year old striker best known for his last minute equaliser in the Champions League final for Manchester United also had big spells at Millwall and Tottenham.

Sheringham will be looking to get the best out of Gnanduillet as Stevenage are struggling for goal scoring form and are currently stand 20th in League Two. Time will tell if Sheringham can get the same impact out of Gnanduillet that he had himself as a player.

We wish Armand the best of luck at Stevenage.
