Kyle Walker-Peters set to join on loan?

The "Tottenham Academy" (an unofficial twitter account dedicated to Tottenham's U21s and U18s) reports that Kyle Walker-Peters will go on loan to Chesterfield.

Walker-Peters has impressed Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino, who took him on Spurs' post-season tour of Asia and Australia last summer, having been a regular in the U21s since last season. Walker-Peters told The official Spurs website it was the highlight of his season.

''I was told I’d be going away with the first team on the tour to Malaysia and Australia - and then obviously getting the chance to play in those games. It’s a massive step up to senior level with the pace, the physicality and the technical ability that’s needed in training but I think I've managed to deal with it pretty well so far. I still think I need to get stronger but I'm sure that will come.''






Walker-Peters who was named as BPL U21 Player Of The Month for December is looking to follow in the footsteps of Tottenham senior players Harry Kane, Ryan Mason and Alex Pritchard who also have had spells at Football League clubs. Spurs are looking for youngsters to test themselves at first team level. Walker-Peters also went on trial with Dutch club Roda JC with a view to a loan deal earlier this month.

Eighteen year old Waker-Peters has played six times for England Under 18's and three times for the U19's. He can play either right back and left back.
