Sam Clucas thanks Spireite fans and wishes them an emotional goodbye

Sam Clucas has completed his move to Hull City for an undisclosed fee, signing a 3 year contract with the Tigers.

Sam reached out to his followers via his twitter account @samclucas ;

Sam Clucas signed for the Spireites from arch rivals Mansfield Town for an undisclosed fee in September 2014, a deal which Mansfield chairman John Radford said was a ''tough decision'' but was ''in the best interest of the club''. Former Spireites boss Paul Cook later revealed the fee was around 70k.

Clucas made a massive impact for Chesterfield and helped them seal a League One play off spot. Chesterfield fans immediately warmed to Clucas due to his tireless work rate and eye for goal. Clucas has made 49 appearances and scored 12 goals many of which came from left back and left wing.
