Former favourites recommend one man

Former Spireites were quick to recommend UEFA A licensed coach Ritchie Humphreys for the vacant Chesterfield managers role. The popular left back was a key player during the 2013–14 season, where he played 49 times, this was the season that saw the Spireites promoted to League One. He has played at every level from Premier League to Football League Two. Humphreys was elected as chairman of the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) in 2013.
