Slew set to sign!

Sheffield born striker Jordan Slew is set to put pen to paper and sign short term contract with the Spireites today.

Twenty three year old Slew has been training with the Spireites first team after his contract with Cambridge Town was cancelled by mutual consent earlier this month. The pacy striker has impressed Danny Wilson and will add depth to the forward position with the departures of Armand Gnanduillet to Leyton Orient, Byron Harrison sent on loan to Stevenage and add cover for the injuried Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and ill Lee Novak.

Slew was signed by Blackburn Rovers for £1.1 million in August 2011 from Sheffield United and has played once for the England U19's.
