Chesterfield 3-1 Barnsley

Chesterfield come from 1 down to win 3-1 against Barnsley. A wonderful second half sees off Barnsley for the opening game of the season.

Barnsley made the quickest start of the two teams when on three minutes in Conor Wilkinson beat a couple of defenders and unleashed a powerful shot  to score  the opener from just inside the box which then saw Barnsley continued to dominate the first half.

The Spireites looked strong from the start of the second half and on the 49th minute they got their rewards when Jay O'Shea finished off a lovely team move when assisted by Sylvan Ebanks-Blake.

After great work down the left from Dan Jones, Ebanks-Blake slotted home a lovely goal on 72nd minute. Chesterfield continued pushing and just two minutes later a great move saw Sylvan Ebanks-Blake turn, pass and then a Sam Morsy curl the ball to put Chesterfield in control. Chesterfield finished out the game strongly to complete a wonderful second half display. The only downside Drew Talbot hobbling off on the 75th minute.
