New signing expected as fans get ready to welcome Lee Novak and Angel Martinez
Dean Saunders is hopeful of another new signing, as fans get ready to welcome Lee Novak and Angel Martinez to the Proact Stadium for the visit of Rochdale.
The incoming signing is described by Dean Saunders as a "young player for the future" and a player that ''can play anywhere across the back line and in midfield.''
He is hoping the deal will be concluded in the next couple of days.
In the meantime fans eagerly await the first home game of Lee Novak and Angel Martinez, who both look set to start alongside fellow Saunders signing Sylvan Ebanks-Blake.
Novak who joined just seven days ago has already played twice for the Spireites. With his hard working attitude and team ethics Novak will be keen to continue his impressive early form in front of the Chesterfield faithful.
Many Spireites have also already warmed to defensive midfielder Angel Martinez.
In Martinez' interview with Peak FM he told fans, ''Chesterfield looks like a friendly place, a family place and it's what I need, I need love to smile in the pitch and I think I will find it here''
Matinez later wrote on twitter to report on his search to settle in Chesterfield and bring his family here.
@Angel31Martinez ''Hope to find a home soon, can't wait to have the family here and see my daughters with the Chesterfield FC shirt on''
Spireites will be keen to give Angel Martinez a warm welcome to the Proact to reflect the welcome he has offered to them so far in his short career as a Spireite.
The two certainly have the quality and attitude required by Spireites fans.
Tomorrow's opponents Rochdale current sit fourth after three games, while the Spireites sit fifth. The Dale currently have the same record this season as the Spireites with two wins (against Peterborough and Blackpool) and one defeat (against Walsall).
Kick off is at 3PM tomorrow.
