Open Day Success!

Today the Proact Stadium swung open it's doors for the Chesterfield FC open day, where fans had the chance to see Dean Saunders for the first time at the Proact.

Fans were also offered a behind the scenes look at the home of Chesterfield FC, it's recently refurbished executive boxes, media room and the Community Trust HUB.

The event also allowed fans to see new signing Sylvan Ebanks Blake on the Proact pitch. Ebanks Blake who joined the Spireites following his release from Preston this summer.
The Spireites squad looked in high spirits after their return from a pre-season team bonding and training camp in the Algarve, Portugal. This concluded in a Chesterfield victory against Portuguese second tier team SC Olhanense, which saw The Spireites win  2-0 with goals from Armand Gnanduillet and Sylvan Ebanks Blake.

The players were sporting their new training technology which tracks how much energy a player is putting into their training programme. The hi-tech technology is the same as used by none other than Real Madrid!

Fans were given the chance to watch Saunders put the Spireites through an open training session.

Paul Mitchell and Brian Carey watched on throughout the training session led by Mal Purchase. Dave Allen and Chris Turner were also in attendance.

Seventeen year old Jack Orrell continued training with the first team and impressed as fans were treated to an 11 on 11 match on the full pitch, getting to see all but one of the first team squad. Drew Talbot was kept to running up and down the sidelines as he recovers from his injury troubles. This match also saw the Spireites fielding two trialists.

Fans were also given the opportunity to meet and great the players, get autographs and have photographs taken with their favourite stars. It was a great event for all the family and kickstarted the season in high spirits as the Spireites welcome Hull City to the Proact this Tuesday!
