Bristol City out of Doyle race?

At Bristol City's weekly press conference Robins boss Steve Cotterill has gone on record to admit they will almost certainly miss out on their number one transfer target, rumoured to be Eoin Doyle.

Cotterill declared ''There is probably only one player we would want to buy on a permanent basis.''

He added ''(He) would be a good investment for the future, but I don’t think we are going to get him. I think he will go to a Championship club''

Cotterill would not go on record about what player or team he was implying, but we believe the Championship club in question could be Sheffield Wednesday who yesterday declared their interested in Doyle. Other championship teams in the hunt for the Irishman are rumoured to include Millwall and Reading FC.
