Snow Report

Despite the freezing conditions the Spireites fixture against Coventry tomorrow (28th of December) should still take place. With highs of 2 degrees and a freezing trip back to Derbyshire looking most likely. The Ricoh Arena has under soil heating and has been hit with little or no snow. So the likelihood is this game will get the go ahead.

A Chesterfield fan took to twitter to have the matter confirmed, which Coventry City assured currently the game is in no doubt.

For the Spireites tie against MK Dons on Friday the 2nd of January the weather looks to take a turn for the better with likely highs of 9 degrees and a bit of light rain to clear the final sprinkling of the snow. Stadium MK also has under soil heating so this game also looks to be in no doubt.

Then, on the 10th of January the Spireites return to the Proact for the first time in 2015, where they take on Port Vale. This looks to be a mild, cloudy day with snow very unlikely. This game should also get the go ahead.

A doubt comes for Chesterfield FC's tie at Swindon with snow forecast for Friday the 16th of January which leaves this tie on the 17th of January in a bit of doubt. Come the day of the match the sun should be shining so it could be a last minute pitch clearance may be required to keep this fixture on.

Take care travelling Spireites
