Sheffield United audacious bid for Spireite

Chesterfield are speculation to more transfer rumours as the January transfer window nears closer, with Sheffield United boss Nigel Clough is planning an audacious bid for Spireite midfielder Sam Morsy.
Samy has become the backbone of the team with his thrilling forward runs and crunching defensive tackles. Paul Cook and the Spireites are unlikely to want to let the 23-year-old leave who is contracted to July 2015 and and this may outprice the Blades budget.

Morsy has become the Chesterfield talisman, linking up with Jimmy Ryan in defensive midfield forming the heart of the Spireite side. Samy has become a firm fans favourite and was voted CFC's Player of the Season last term.
Morsy came to the attention of many clubs after playing at Wembley Stadium in Chesterfield's 3–1 defeat to Peterborough United in the final of the Football League Trophy where he provided the assist for Eoin Doyle's goal after a powerful run into the Posh box. He played a total of 39 games for the Spireites last season and has played 18 game already this campaign.

Nigel Clough has been tracking Morsy closely and is looking for a midfielder that is strong but can play. Scouts have been in attendance for Chesterfield's games against Oldham and Barnsley FC. His scouting has also included him travelling in person to Crawley to watch the Spireites take on Crawley Town.
