Stephen Dooley

Stephen Dooley, born October 19, 1991 in Portstewart, County Derry, joined Derry City in August, following a short spell studying in Baltimore the USA. Before this he was a player at Coleraine where he played for seven years.

The tricky winger Dooley has impressed in the League of Ireland with his pacy dribbling. The Irishman has recently had trials with League Two outfit Wycombe Wanderers. Scouts from Chesterfield, St Johnstone, Partick Thistle, Ross County and Accrington Stanley are said to have raved about Dooley’s skill, pace and directness. All are reportedly keeping tabs on the 23-year-old, who is described as a quiet character, but great leader.

Dooley is available on a free transfer in January and the news has alerted his suitors who are keen to lure him away from the Brandywell.

Could the Proact be his next destination?
