FA Cup Fever Hits Chesterfield

The Proact is set to be packed for the winner takes all game third round reply against Scunthorpe. The town has been hit by FA Cup fever not seen since the famous cup run of 1997.

The Spireites have been inspired by the ''match that no one wanted'' which has got the Spireites squad determined for a good cup run. This plus the great league form and solid management had lead to a great belief and team spirit in the camp.

Chesterfield fought back from 2-0 down to finish on top in a 2-2 draw which took the third round tie into a reply.

With only 276 tickets remaining in the East Stand, 107 still available in the KOP and 148 still to be bought in the West Stand. Chesterfield have almost sold all the tickets put on sale before the game with queues on the telephones and right round the Proact for this cold, Tuesday night game. Meanwhile just 250 tickets have been sold pre-match by the Iron.

Spireites star man Gary Roberts has taken to social media to add more spice to this already exciting FA Cup tie.
The ultimate prize is a fourth round tie against Derbyshire rivals Derby County.
