MK Update

Chesterfield will be without Jimmy Ryan and Ian Evatt to face MK Dons at Stadium MK tonight. Ryan who will once against be rested as a precaution, while transfer speculation also hangs over the 26 year old midfielder. The Spireites have offered Ryan an extended deal but Sheffield United are also waiting in the wings with a deal for Jimmy.

Evatt is out with a calf injury which means Sam Hird is likely to drop into a deeper centre back spot with Sam Morsy coming back into Midfield.

Emmanuel Aghogho Oluwafemi Dieseruvwe will also not be available for this game.

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson took the unusual step of naming his team on Tuesday.

Karl Robinson: ''We’ve played this game already, but if we win, we’re playing again on Tuesday before the Crawley game on the Saturday.''

''We’re trying to give the players a rest. The players are knackered.''

''We’re concentrating on the league. If we go to Crawley and lose, people will ask us why.''

''We have to make sure we get it right, we’ll try and win the game.''

This leaves out the experienced defender Antony Kay, while important forward Will Grigg is who has scored 9 times this season. Most interesting for the Spireites is the omission of key player Deli Alli, the midfielder has scored 10 goals from 20 games this season in League One.

The line up will see former Spireite Marc Randall take on his former team.

The MK Dons team to face Chesterfield:

Martin,
Baldock, Spence, McFadzean, Lewington,
Potter, Randall, Green, Bowditch, Powell,
Afobe.
