Rommy Boco

Romuald Boco has left Chesterfield FC.

The Benin international capped 48 times for his country, who signed on a non-contract basis with Chesterfield on the 8th of August 2014.

Boco has had spells under Paul Cook at Sligo Rovers and Accrington Stanley, as well as playing with Cook at Accrington.

The 29 year old first came to the attention of the Chesterfield faithful in the summer of 2013, but turned down the chance to join the Spireites choosing to sign for Plymouth on a one year deal. Boco again had the chance to join Chesterfield in the summer of 2014, when he signed his on a non-contract basis.

Boco started 15 games for the Spireites and came on as a substitute twice, scoring once.

It is believed Boco was working part-time during his time at the Spireites. The understanding is that he will sign abroad despite being offered a contract with the Spireites.

It is unlikely, but not impossible that we will see Boco again in a Spireites shirt, with India highly rumoured as his destination.

We wish Rommy well.
