Transfer Window Update

It's halfway through January and the Spireites squad remains intact. Times are hard and money is tight and this is certainly proven by this transfer window.

With only Sheffield United and Rotherham testing the waters for Eoin Doyle and finding themselves out priced for the goal scoring sensation. It seems to be a similar case with young midfielder Sam Morsy, with teams out priced by Chesterfield's valuations.

Some transfer news to report is that Reading are keeping tabs on high flying FA Cup hero Sam Clucas. No bids have been made for the utility man but Reading are in the market for a left sided midfielder. They are currently playing Hal Robson-Kanu wide left but the Welsh international prefers to play in a central role.

With the lack of movement it seems unlikely that the Spireites will see Gary Martin at Chesterfield with him weighing up other options for his future.
