Eoin Doyle on the move?

League One leaders Bristol City and Championship outfit Millwall are rumoured to be monitoring Eoin Doyle and are planning to make bids for the Irish striker in January.

Doyle who has netted 19 times this season for the Spireites, including back to back hat-tricks is likely to be very much in demand.

Chesterfield assistant manager Leam Richardson speaking on Doyle,

''His goals speak for themselves''

''He's the hottest property in the country, he'll be on everyones list and he will be top on a lot of them''

''We expect we'll have a lot of phone calls''

Richardson continued

''We're a very good club and Eoin doesn't plan to leave and he is very happy where he is at the minute, he's just had a new baby, he's family is very settled and he's scoring goals and enjoying himself''

Doyle who is well known for being a great trainer and has only missed a couple of training sessions since joining the club, Doyle puts this down to

''Luck of the Irish''
and that ''It's the attitude you need to have to be a good player''
Leam Richardson went on to say

''Unless it's correct and right the chairman won't be letting him go for anything less than his market value''

It's unlikely that the Spireites will sell unless a premium price is offered. The money from Liam Coppers sale is likely to balance the books this season, which puts the club in a strong place in the transfer window.

Bristol City's manager Steve Cotterill has commented on his transfer budget

"There is no need to go mad and we cannot do that even if we wanted to, because we have to balance the books,"

"But we've done more than balance the books and have been really, really good with our budget this year. As things stand, we are quite a bit under budget.

"That means we have that little bit of pocket money to use in January if we want to."
